This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes prohibited uses of the Hookie platform (the “Service”). It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Use. We may update it as needed to protect the Service, our users, and third parties. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Terms.
By using the Service, you agree not to do — and not to allow anyone using your account to do — any of the following.
1. Illegal or harmful activity
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate illegal activity.
- Infringe or misappropriate the intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of others.
- Ingest, store, route, or deliver content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, or that depicts or promotes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), which we report to authorities as required by law.
- Process personal data without a lawful basis or the necessary consents, or in violation of applicable data-protection laws.
2. Security and integrity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other tenants’ data, or any system or network, or breach or circumvent authentication, tenant isolation, IP allowlists, rate limits, or quotas.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written consent (see “Reporting,” below), or defeat, avoid, or interfere with security features.
- Introduce or transmit malware, worms, ransomware, or other malicious code, or use the Service to host or distribute the same.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
3. Abuse of the platform and third parties
- Use ingestion or outbound delivery to send unsolicited or bulk messages (spam), or to conduct phishing, fraud, or social-engineering campaigns.
- Configure outbound destinations, source connectors, or the live stream to attack, overload, flood, or launch denial-of-service activity against any third party or endpoint you are not authorized to send to.
- Point source connectors at databases or systems you do not own or lack authorization to read.
- Relay or launder traffic to disguise its origin, or use the Service as an open proxy.
4. Fair use and resource abuse
- Exceed or attempt to circumvent your plan’s quotas, connection limits, or rate limits, including by creating multiple accounts to evade limits.
- Use the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure, or that degrades the Service for others.
- Use the Service for cryptocurrency mining or other workloads unrelated to its intended webhook/event purpose.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted in writing.
5. Content and data responsibility
You are solely responsible for the data you ingest, the rules and mappings you configure, the destinations you deliver to, and the AI triggers you enable. You must ensure you have all rights and consents required to process that data and to send it to the endpoints you designate.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and, at our discretion and where lawful, remove or disable content, throttle or suspend ingestion or delivery, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure; where a violation poses imminent risk of harm, legal exposure, or service degradation, we may act immediately. Termination is governed by the Terms of Use.
7. Reporting abuse or vulnerabilities
- To report abuse of the Service, email [email protected] with details.
- To report a security vulnerability, email [email protected]. We welcome good-faith security research conducted with our prior authorization and without accessing other tenants’ data, degrading the Service, or exfiltrating data.
