Svix is webhooks-as-a-service for platforms that send events to their own customers, with an embeddable portal and an open-source server; it led the Standard Webhooks spec. Svix Ingest also receives webhooks. Hookie starts from the other end: it receives webhooks and forms from anyone, stores each one as a searchable record, and routes and delivers them. Hookie signs its deliveries to Standard Webhooks, so a Svix-compatible receiver verifies them as is.

When Svix is the better pick

  • You are a platform sending webhooks to many customers, each with their own endpoints and portal: that is what Svix is for.
  • You need to self-host, or a contractual SLA.
  • Your outbound volume is high: the free allowance is fifty times Hookie's.

When Hookie is

  • Your problem is receiving: Stripe, GitHub, Shopify, forms and alerts arriving at one place, checked, stored and searchable.
  • You want to route what arrives into named datasets and act on it with rules, AI steps and workflows.
  • You want an AI agent to set it up for you over MCP.

Try it on the free plan: create an endpoint, or read the Stripe, GitHub and Shopify guides and pricing.
